Chanel Fashion Show – The ‘Le Château des Dames’ 2020/21 Métiers d’art Show

Sitting in the cosy confines of my bed, for the first time today I watched a Chanel Fashion Show. The ‘Le Château des Dames’ 2020/21 Métiers d’art Show to be precise.

It’s an annual show they do as a tribute to the small artisans and specialist workshops Chanel started to buy since 1984 – as a way to preserve the fine craftsmanship of French luxury.

Better still, to me and to you known as the Pre-Fall 2020/21 fashion show.

Transitional Weather Fashion – All You Need is a Good Blazer

Traditional weather fashion
Houndstooth blazer, black sleeveless top and bag: Zara | Black pants: Pull & Bear | Sunglasses: Bershka | Brown boots: Forever 21

Before today I didn’t really realize how distinctly easy it is to dress up for a particular season. I mean if you think about it, there has always been a clear demarcation where summer always equates to white cottons and beige linens, with winters equating to darker hues, and knitted cardigans.

That question aside, here’s a little confession: I have wanted a round jute bag ever since it made its way to my Instagram explore page in 2017 – when the trend of such bags had just started.

One White Sweater Lead to Four Different Stories

One white sweater lead to four different storiesIt was Jan 2018 when I found myself in the winter section of H&M. It was filled with knitwear and discounts, but for me the joy was in walking between the racks of knitted sweaters and cardigans. I enjoyed caressing my fingers against each and every one of them; I enjoyed feeling their intricate woven looms; I loved how soft the wool felt against my palms.

I had nothing particular in mind that I wanted to buy, but it’s funny how when you go without expecting anything that sometimes you find some of the best things ever. For me it came in the form of a white woolen ribbed sweater.
